How to employ the Screen mirroring function on my BRAVIA TV

1. What is the Screen mirroring function

The Screen mirroring part is one of the methods to display the screen of a mobile device on the TV to view photos, videos or websites. The function uses Miracast technology to display the screen of a compatible device on the Boob tube without a wireless router.

NOTE: The video quality may be degraded if there is environmental interference present.

2. Compatible devices and Culling methods

Compatible devices

  • Some Bravia TVs released in between 2013 to 2020 (Android TVs/Google TVs after 2020 do not support the function.)
    Notation:For details, check the Applicable Products and Categories of This Article section, or Aid Guide of your TV.
  • Miracast compatible devices such as a smartphone, tablet, or calculator
    NOTES:
    • For Apple tree devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod/MacBook): As of 2021, these devices do not back up the Screen mirroring function. To discover the alternative methods, run into the Alternative methods department.
    • For details on the specification of your device, refer to the manual or contact the support of the device.

Culling methods

If the Television or device don't support the Screen mirroring function, you may find an alternative method to brandish the content in one of the following manufactures:

To register your device to the TV

  1. On the Tv set remote control, printing the INPUT button, select Screen mirroring, then printing the Enter push. The Television set volition get into standby and wait for a connection from a mobile device.

  2. Connect your Screen mirroring compatible mobile device to the TV. Configure your mobile device to connect to the Television set.

    1. Tap Settings.
    2. Select Device connection or Xperia Connectivity.
    3. Select Screen mirroring.
    4. On the Screen mirroring screen, tap Start.
    5. Select OK.
    6. Tap the name of your TV.

    Annotation: The 5GHz band may not be supported depending on your Television receiver model.

NOTES:

  • Connectivity with all Miracast compatible devices is not guaranteed.
  • The video quality may exist degraded due to environmental interference.

To listing continued devices/deregister devices

For Android TVs

  1. On the supplied remote command, press theHOME button.
  2.  SelectSettings.
  3. Select Network.
  4. SelectWi-Fi Direct.
  5. SelectAdvanced settings.
  6. Select Show device list/Delete.

For other TVs

When the Screen mirroringstandby screen is displayed, press the OPTIONS push button, then select Show Device List / Delete.

  • To deregister a device, select the device in the list to delete, then press the Enter push button. And so, select Yes in the confirmation display.
  • To deregister all devices, press the OPTIONS push button in the listing, select Delete All, then Yes in the confirmation display.
